turkish dancers

Introduction :- 
turkish , is a dance style found in the black sea region , now modern turkey. turkish dances are the folk dances of turkey. on the border between europe and the middle east , facing three seas, straddling important trade routes, turkey has a complex, sophisticated culture , reflected in the variety of its dances . theer are many different types of folk dances performed in various ways in turkey , and these reflect the cultural structure of each region. the "BAR" in erzurum province , the "HALAY"  in the thrace , the "HORON " in the black sea , "SPOON DANCES" in and around konya & lezginka in kars and ardahan are the best known examples of these.

turkish dance region :-
Karsilama, hora and salma :- Karsilama, hora and salma are the names of the dances which are peculiar to Trakya region, European part of Turkey and also popular in Balkans.
Zeybek :- Zeybek is one of the most well known dances of Turkey,which is found specifically on the Aerean Coast as a characteristic of Western Turkey.
Halay :- Halay is the most widespread dance all around Anatolia.
Horon :- Horon is the name of a group of dances performed in Northern Turkey on the Black Sea Coast.
Kasik Oyunu (Spoon Dance) :- Kasik Oyunu (Spoon Dance) is the most popular dance in Central Anatolia.
Bar :- Bar can be taken as the most remarkable group of dance with about forty variations.
Semah :- Semah is a quasi-religious social dance of villages belong to nomadic tribes of a sect called Alevite.
